Re: Re: [OT] Woodworking - making a tape storage shelf system

I do a fair bit of this as a hobby - I can highly recommend a place to get
your Oak for such a project. Mick Jones Timber Ltd in Guilsfield near
Welshpool Powys. 010938 500283.http://www.mickjonestimber.co.uk

Very reasonably priced and they will select "figured" oak for you
to make it a little more interesting. Nice people too - Last time I was
there I only bought 4 planks of oak flooring to make a small bookcase, but
they were really helpful and sifted through lots of planks to find the
nicest.

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer. You self-build Johnnies beware,
if you visit them you will end up buying heavy oak doors as they are almost
irristible!

Tim.

Hi,
I was looking at something similar myself and came across the
following site http://members.cox.net/messman123/plan%20links%
20Cs.htm which contains links to a load of woodworking plans
including advice etc.
HTH,
