Looking further into DIY lighting automation, I've simplified my ideas. It
seems Maplin.co.uk do a voltage controlled dimmer (VF58N) and compatible
parallel interfacing controller (VF54J). It seems to me that these offer
the ultimate in simple interfacing of light switches. Simply send 0-10vdc
to turn on the light via a preset level. Any thoughts on why this wouldn't
work? It seems too simple to be true, and as luck would have it, I'm doing
very little this weekend, except for passing a Maplin later today!
Cheers,
Andy
