You could use some Krone blocks similar to Mark used once in a nice case.

Either that or crimp some RJ45 plugs on the ends and use some of those RJ45
connector boxes. When I had my node 0 in pieces I used about 6 cables and
five connector blocks (25-30m in total) to get from the cable modem to the
tivo and it worked fine (I couldn't be bother to make up a longer cable).

Hi

Just a quick novice question.

I'm in the process of moving my study, with it's associated
computer
to another room within the house and I was wondering what is the best
method of extending the existing 6 off Cat 5 cables? I would rather
not have to lay new cables form the server (sited in the attic) as
this would require me taking out shares with 'Crown' or 'Dulux'!!!.

Also, would there be any drawbacks if I were to extend?

Many thanks in advance.
