Argos even do some filter coffee machines which include integral
timers - around the 40 quid mark I think.
And Toshiba used to make filter coffee machines which also ground the
beans (not sure if they still do).
(The Krups/Magimix machine will make "long" coffee, which is
pretty
similar to filter coffee in strength/flavour)
