S Video input to Plasma, HELP!!!

Hello All,
Im after some advice please...
I wish to connect my SKY and DVD player to my plasma.
Now,, I have a Fujitsu 4229 Plasma and I want to use the S Video
input.
My question is, if i get a decent VCR with an s-video out, can I
connect my sky and dvd to the VCR with scart connections and then
connect the VCR to the Plasma using the s-video out??? Will this
work?
Any help or advice would be appriciated..
