OK, my 3 options:
- Move the washing machine upstairs ;o)
- Move your office upstairs ;o))
- Hook the machine up to an X10 appliance module so that you can turn it
off

Agreed. There SHOULD be an option to turn off the damn buzzer.
Unfortunately there isn't.
Next time we buy another washing machine, which will not be for
another couple of years at least, we will listen to the sound it
makes at the end of cycle before purchasing.
For the moment I guess we just have to live with it...
