Yes Stuart, that's always an option. But it'd be good to have a number
of adaptors to use for any additional telephones. I had a good look
through CPC's catalogue last night and couldn't believe that they don't
sell a RJ45 -> RJ11 adaptor. Does anyone know where I can these?

You could always chop the RJ11 off & rewire it with an RJ45. That's
what
I did with the 1-wire fly lead I got my my starter kit so I could patch
it into my cat5.
