They are made to length - although they are priced in half metre
increments - so if you want 255cm (or 251cm even) then you need to order a
300cm rail and specify that it is to be made to 255cm overall length.

The rails *MUST NOT* be cut once supplied - to do so would invalidate the
warranty and it is horrendously easy to arse up cutting the drive tapes to
length.
