OT - Phones for the Blind
Sorry about the OT....
My Nan has recently had to go into a hospice, she is blind and my
Granddad, who was the carer, recently passed away...
Anyway...
To use the phone she has to go down stairs and use the payphone,
great for a blind person (with arthritis).
I was wondering if anyone knew of such a thing as a phone that looked
like a regular phone the old type with a handset connected to a base
with the numbers on it but you put a SIM card in it, obviously
powered some how.
My Nan can use a regular phone but a normal mobile has no raised
buttons or distinction between them. She is 87 and I don't think
training her to use voice activated dialling would work, she'd give
up and not bother. It needs to "just like an ordinary phone"...
Any help would be great; I've googled but can only come up with a
Nokia Communicator with software called talx which is all voice
activated stuff...
Thanks
Neil
