Or... (some assembly required)

a BIK sensor, have a search throughthe archives, Mr Lowe demoed this
technology at UKHA2003

Or... (some assembly and coding required)

A polaroid ultrasonic sensor (kit set with a couple of sensors and
boards, about 50UKP, model number 6500). I have an unfinished
project using one of these to detect cats wandering in the back door
whilst it was open. Mounted above the door, little heait = animal,
big height = person. All looked good on the 'scope, but never
actually wrote the PIC code to make it work :-(

mad solutions 'r us

David.
