RE: [OT] using copied CDs in a car multichanger

My CD changer (in a Merc CLK) works fine with copied CDs. Are you using
CD-Rs? There was a problem on BMW head units where they could not play CD
R/Ws due to the increased thickness.

Pete

PS I think the changers in most Mercs are made by Becker, certainly the
head
units are.

I've had quite a few CD trashed because they've found their way into the
car
(by people/animals/sticky fingers etc) so I've hatched a plan to only
install COPIED cds in the multichanger. Only problem is they don't seem to
work. Very odd. I can copy a music cd with nero or adaptec easycd and it
will work fine in my cd player but not in the car. Car is an merc E class
estate with a factory fitted multichanger. Got a feeling the changer is by
Blaukput. Anyone had experience of this ? Jeff
