Not sure if this is what you want but I have an XDA 1 on o2-200 voice
contract and use PAYG GPRS ( sliding scale - the more you use the
cheaper it
gets ).  I use the GPRS directly off the phone and also as a GPRS modem
for
my laptop.

O2 offer it.  I have it set up on my daughters phone and she is on
PAYG.
