RE: Win2k Terminal services and ICA winterm?

The only way you can make a server understand ICA is by installing
MetaFrame - this is a very costly option for the home user.

As you say it's a winterm I assume it's a wyse box. It is possible to
reflash these, it may be worth having a look on the wyse site to see if
there is anything you can download.

You can definitely get RDP enabled winterms, we have them where I work.

I assume you have enabled the terminal server for remote administration
via RDP and can connect from a normal Windows client.

Subject: [ukha_d] Win2k Terminal services and ICA winterm?

I've just acquired a winterm box, with the thought of using it as a thin
client web browser, by attaching it to the administrative session on my
win2k server.

Now the winterm I have doesnt do RDS, only ICA. Is there anyway that I
can get a connection without putting metaframe on the win2k box? I've
done a bit of googling tonight but havent really got anywhere.

Any one know a cheap to free way to get my win2k server talking ICA?
(Its just a standard win2k, not the terminal edition.)

Matthew
