This *may* depend on the type of filter (and their quality).
I have had caller display for a *long* time, and was one of the
first in the area with ADSL. I have seen *no* change in the
availability of Caller ID since then.
Note: My ADSL installation was sufficiently early that I had to
have my master socket changed to accomodate the filter.
