Thanks to everyone for their help.

Acronis True Image did the job perfectly.

I ended up buying a USB hotdrive to take a 2.5" drive - this allowed
me to
clone the drive and then swap over when done :)

Shame it doesnt do servers for $49.

Currently running a copy of Snapshot on the server if this works its only
$89 for a server version.

How are you going to install the new drive into the desktop pc?

If that is what you mean? as it is a 2.5" drive. Unless you have a
connector, or external box for it.

You cannot just plug it into your 3.5" pc connector.
