It was me that made the point of QoS, or rather lack of.
My reasoning is that if you are hosting or running P2P services etc. on
your
ADSL line then your 256k upstream can be severely dented.
Try making a VoIP call when someone's l33ching x episodes of Grand Designs

Obviously as Nick points out, once the packets have left your router you
are
at the mercy of the net in general.
