There's nothing wrong with star wiring, but yes you will need to join them
all together - you could you a couple of Krone 237 strips or something
similar mounted in a 251a Krone Box.

Dean,
Sorry if this sounds dumb, but now you've got me worried - I've started
re-wiring my house, commencing with the upstairs lights, and as I've run
T&E
to each light switch I've also run in 1xCAT5e for upgrading to C-Bus (no
safety issues as the T&E will not be used once the C-Bus system is
installed).
All wiring is 'star' topology - I've a secondary fuseboard in the loft.
When funds allow, this fuseboard will become home to a couple of C-Bus
dimmers, etc.
Will I need an "interface block" type thing to common up
connections to
the
lightswitch runs before connecting it to the Dimmer modules? Is it simply
a
case of knocking something up that connects all orange cores together, all
blue cores together, etc, etc.
Thanks,
Tony

The answer is Yes and Yes
1 cat5 looped round will suffice - though it can be daisy chained with
star
wiring added or spurs, as long as you do not make a ring.
Yes you can use a Bus Coupler mounted within 500mm of a traditional
momentary switch those this is limited compared to Neo as neo is capable
of
8 gangs on 1 single plate switch

Dean.
