Tivo os version

Just got my tivo networked up !

Very happy with my turbonet card.  I was wondering what version of the tivo
firmware people are running.  I've got 2.5.5-01-1-023.  Is this old/new etc
?  I'm also looking into exporting the .ty files off so if anyone can point
me in the direction of an idiots guide for tv->mpeg conversion - I would
appreciate it.  I hope to spend some time on google this afternoon but I
have some real work to do - how inconvenient !
