ipaq speed issues

Dear all,

Not really home related .. but you lot seem to be a wealth of knowledge .
so

I have an HP 5555

400mhz xscale processor and all of that.

Trying to run some map programs or even large games.

i.e. Tom tom, HK explorer, and michael Schumacher Kart racing.

The performance is appalling.

The games is jerky and not smooth and the map programs are very slow .. I
click on a location and it takes a long time to load.

It is very frustrating. You cannot do things quickly at all. It is quicker
for me to read the map.

Does anyone have this problem? Or is it just me?

Plus when I try to increase the allocated memory manually I push the memory
up .. and after about 2 seconds it jumps back to its default auto setting.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ho Yin
