I'm not sure how you manage to get a case temp higher than CPU temp -
are you sure that's right?

Subject: [ukha_d] PC Cooking? (Almost OT?)

Hi I've been having real trouble with a PC I built before Xmas as a
media server. It just re-boots without warning and its totally random.
It's a Gigabit Board, P4 2800, 1 Gig RAM, 2 x 180gb hard discs.

I was given a hint that it may be a heat issue so I downloaded a temp
monitor (Motherboard Monitor http://www.3degs.net/ which is excellent
BTW.) and it tops out (even under significant load and in the rack with
the door
shut) at CPU 42c CASE 48c. Is that too warm? From what I've googled it
doesn't appear to be?

Anyone got any other clues as its bloody annoying when I'm sat in the
bath listening to an MP3 playlist and off it goes :-(

The event log has the following error:

Error code 0000000a, parameter1 00001ac4, parameter2 00000002,
parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804f4391.

And also a log saying:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a
(0x00001ac4, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804f4391). A dump was saved in:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini020704-03.dmp.

If I open the file in Notepad its gobldygook :-(

Thanks in advance.

Rob
