Re: C-Bus install questions

"Closed Loops" are not allowed, but on the course they suggested
running a
loop round the house and cutting it in the middle at the end of the build.
That way if a nail gun or whatever goes thru the cable somewhere you are
saved. The max cable length on any one C-Bus network is 1000m. You can
exceed this by using mulitple networks.

The 2-way Utli RF range of switches is due later this year which will be
easily retro-fitted and will allow you to integrate them with an existing
hard-wired C-Bus network.

As regards the bus coupler, there is one...
http://www.cbus-shop.com/product_info.php?products_id=38
...it says "Any type of insulated wire with a diameter no greater than
2mm
may be used to connect between remote switches and Bus Coupler inputs"
...but the max distance allowed between the switch and the coupler is only
1
metre.

There is a DIN Rail mounter module that can be used for this instead though
which I'll try and find for you.
