electrical problem

this problem I have seen happen more than once in my kitchen. I have an
electrial griller machine, when the off button on the wall electrical
socket is put to off after using it - there is a spark in the outlet and
the trip switch in the main electrial switch controller box trips off for
that circuit. It has happened about 3 times over 4 months. I have checked
out the grill which I thought may be grounding or something but I cannot
replicate the problem. Is it the grill or my electrical supply/circuit.

It happened again just now so it has got me worried. We only moved in
less than a year ago.
