Why do bulbs explode?
SWMBO just phoned me as one of the light bulbs in my kitchen has exploded
whilst she was there. This has happened now twice and both with the same
socket. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is the most likely
reason
that might have caused this? A power spike? Bad manufacturing of the
bulb?

PS: No, I'm not living on a ancient burial ground, at least, not as far as
I'm
aware ;)
