Re: OS disk recovery software
I have used Acronis TrueImage - but you need somewhere to store the image
although it need not be as big as the disk you are imaging depending on
free space and existing level of compression. You can boot floppies or a CD
and restore across a network, or just from a local disk.
I used to to regularly reimage an alternate boot partition for testing
installations. I even built a system under VMWare disk - made an image and
restored it across the network to a CD-less laptop as a way of installing
W2K.
It has Windows and Linux versions. http://www.acronis.com/
