Yes - I've used the RM Tablet PC - not a clamshell design as you
mentioned, but all built into a thin, light unit. The newer Centrino
based units are especially good and pretty fast. RM (I used to work for
them - and still do a lot of video work for them) sell mainly to
education but also sell their tablets through PC World Business I think.

I've just finished putting together a video tour of BETT, the UK
education IT show at Olympia, in which the tablet features a bit. If
anyone's REALLY interested (which I doubt!), I could make it available
on my web site - let me know.

Does anyone have or used a table PC. I'm looking at upgrading my current
laptop and like the look of the hybrid laptop/table PC's that are
around.
Both Acer and Toshiba do laptops that you can swivel the screen around
and
lay if flat and use it as a tablet. I just don't know the practical they
really are.
