RE: X-box advice

Hi Robin -

The big gotcha is X-Box Live - it's a relatively easy thing to mod an X-Box
in such a
way that you can play multi-region DVDs, play "backup" games
etc... But if
you want to play
X-Box live, you need to be able to disable it:

I would say the best bet is to get yourself an Xecuter 2.6 from
www.baldbouncer.co.uk I'm more of a
TSOP flash/soft Mod guy myself, so I'll bow to greater knowledge if someone
else knows of a better
Modchip to use.

For the record, any of the softmod/TSOP methods are not really suitable if
you want to play XB Live.

Any questions, ask away! :)

Ian.

Hi Folks,
Can one of the xbox experts help me please. We got my son an xbox along
with the DVD remote (all vanilla.... so far). Sourced from UK it obviously
only plays R2 DVDs. How can I (safely) mod it to allow playing of R1 DVDs.
We have alot of R1s and whilst he is content with only UK games the lack of
R1 playback will be restrictive.
Thank you
robin
(happy christmas and all that stuff)
