OOPS !!!

Think I misinterpreted the quation as "Can I put 2 boxes on my
cable"
rather that what I now believe is "Can I have two possible locations
for the same box"

If you want one of two locations you need to patch the cable to the
current location. Splitting it without any termination on the end of
a cable would result in reflections corrupting the signal.

HTH (this time!)
