Hi Ian - well a bit of both - I managed to get hold of a couple of AMX /
Crestron units at a great price and that has been very interesting to
see how they do things, and they have the integrated video feeds (nice).
But...yes..- I have been playing with a xAP based controller screen -
based on the Rabbit code / design I have, but this is not something I'm
going to persue as a product offering as it's just too 'hairy' at the
moment and to make it useable by many would be an order of magnitude
more work. It may not even do what I want !.. Although I originally
decided I needed a lot of these in wall controllers, in practice I have
found the usefulness of such an approach would be fairly 'for show' only
and so I have cut back my intentions. I also can use PC based touch
screens very effectively now with xAP Desktop - rather than the web
based approach I started with on the ePods. And some of the upcoming
PPC implementations / applications are great for portable use. TelCanto
is great to the SlimServer for example - and in fact is the only way I
can realistically use the server as the current Slim software builds are
causing me real performance issues on XP.

Kevin
