I'd be interested to hear anyone's comments on that.

I've got karaoke coming out of my ears due to a client who's a little
karaoke crazy ;->

What you are looking for to do it cheap and cheerful is MP3+G and a
WinAmp plug in.... MP3+G is a .mp3 file which has the music as a normal
MP3 and a matching .cdg file which contains the CD+G graphics for the
lyrics.

The MP3+G plugin for WinAmp is http://www.physysteme.com/gen_cdg.html

(Of course you really need a vid card with TV out to a plasma with the
winamp playlist on the TFT screen to get the full effect ;-> )

You're kind of on your own with regard to finding the mp3+g files
though, although if you find a good source I'd be *VERY* interested to
hear it.... my client has been doing a lot of converting from CD+G discs
(with a Plextor drive because most drives won't read graphics),
extracting and manually tagging.

Cheers
