If you do get a flat panel then make sure it is at least 17".
Personally I think 15" panels are worthless for everyday work monitors
as the resolution is only 1024 x 768. 17 gives you 1280 x 1024 which is
significantly bigger.

Looking to replace my desktop monitors with Flat Panels and I am looking
for some advice.

I do a reasonable amount of photo work on the current CRT (17") and am
looking for a good replacement, I like the Idea of a flat panel but am not
sure of the colour quality would I be better off with a CRT ? it needs to
be 19" as the 17" replaced a faulty 22" and I miss the size.

Response time should not be too important I don't do a lot of gaming but do
occasionally watch TV through it.

Cheers

Kevin
