For that money you can buy a dedicated home cinema amp that will drive all
5
channels. This one will drive Centre and the Rears sending the main output
to your Front Hi-fi speakers via your hi-fi.

Hiyall,
Does anyone know if you can still get such things as an audio decoder?
My HiFi has Dolby Prologic and also has 6 separate channel input/outputs
(5.1) but does not have a digital interface on it (either coax or optical).

With all this talk of xboxes etc - would seem that I could really do
with getting some sort of decoder if I want to hear all the nice
surround sound in the games - or on dvds.

The hifi itself is not /that/ old and is powerful enough for what we
need and I really dont think that SWMBO would entertain another hifi -
but as said - is missing the digital input on it.

Have recently seen some Cambridge Audio V500 decoders on the Richer
Sounds web site but it would seem that they are factory repacked (is
that good?), but they dont have DTS abilities.

So - has anyone seen anything else out there?

Thanks
Wayne.
