Yes. I started off with it set by DHCP, but changed to a fixed IP.
Something wasn't right
over DHCP, but I can't remember what the problem was now. Anyway, the
easiest way to do
this is to connect to the MSS100 web server and one of the options in there
allows you to
specify an IP address.

Very. One of those technologies that works very reliably. I'd like to say
that it "just
works", but since it took me over 2 weeks working full time to
terminate all the cables, I
don't think that quite applies! Anybody else using it gets that "just
works" feeling
though!

I want to set up a java applet next so I can control everything from a web
interface and
from my ipronto as well. The only thing that worries me about the cgate/xpl
route is that
you're relying on a PC for lighting control...that's why I'm planning on
using one of
Kevin's xap-cbus connectors so I can do as much as possible in a dedicated
embedded box
(and hopefully therefore reliable).
