Yes - I always told other people to backup - just never followed my own
advice - I thought my raid system removed the requirement - silly me. Oh
well I'll get over it no doubt. At least we have hard copies of most of the
photos!

Hi Chris, My thoughts are with you, having lost this sort of data in
the past I know what it is like. I recommend/sell many RAID solutions
at work upt to many tens of TB but you still need to back them up.
They may offer more protection that a single disk but do not cover a
RAID control failer or even more often user error. If you delete data
by istake it it taken away from a RAID solution just the same.

Whatever technology you use, BACKUP! BACKUP! BACKUP!
