Are there many users using the cbus interface with xAP ???.....

Well - I had a little bit of a diversion ( writing some code for
another hardware controller manufacturer to interface with C-Bus - a paying
exercise so was worth it, uses the same hardware but via RS232) . The xAP
C-Bus hardware is all complete and final and the xAP software has just been
updated to function with xAP BSC v13 (Basic Status & Control) which was
released a couple of weeks back.
I had a really nasty gremlin that was causing problems with really
big data packets (eg TV listings) - traced this (after much grief) to a UDP
stack issue and it's now fixed. I'm now on a code size reduction exercise
so
that all the things fit in the Flash Ram - this is needed for the 'in the
field' firmware updates via the Ethernet downloader. Without that feature I
have been reluctant to release units as I didn't want people to have to
send
them back to me for updates. Still a bit to do on allowing better
configuration as some things were hard coded eg subnet masks - then lastly
will tackle the web page designs. I've also been (still) awaiting the new
C-Bus software release just in case things have changed there.
The C-Bus interface works really well with HomeSeer now which is
also xAP BSC13 enabled - just switch on and the C-Bus groups appear and can
be controlled from HomeSeer. Also you can control C-Bus loads directly from
xAP Desktop - there will be some Graphic Faders available any day that have
realtime sliders for light control and the graphic bulb even changes
brightness too - sits behind or over your running applications (Windows
only). So once I get the code all in Flash (and the Ethernet Firmware
Downloader bullet proof) I will be much happier as my 'in the field'
upgrades are then possible - then the web pages are just cosmetics - if
people are wanting to play then beta units are available now really ( or as
soon as the code size reduction is finished if you want on site update
ability).
