I ended up using the "Album art cover downloader" (or at least,
the
first match that Google turned up).
It gets album art from Amazon, and has an option to either embed in
the MP3 _or_ just stick a JPG in the same directory. I chose the
latter option, and it's had about a 50% hit rate. (The reason for the
failure is that I've got a lot of CCM, and Mary's got many, many
Gilbert and Sullivan albums, neither of which seem to have great hit
rates.)
It took a surprising amount of time to run, but leaving it overnight
seemed to let it finish.
Still not got the JPG issue sorted :-(
