I have a KV32FX60 which has
AV1 - Rear Scart - Composite/RGB/S-Video
AV2 - Rear Scart - Composite/S-Video
AV3 - Rear Scart OR side connections - Composite/S-Video
You can swlect rear scart or side connections for AV3 in the menus.
Would imagine the FX65 is virtually identical. I stand to be corrected but
a
normal sky digibox will only output RGB or Composite - but no S-Video,
unless the sony is different.
I personally have
Sky -> AV1 (RGB)
PlayStation / DVD Player / XBox -> AV AMP -> AV2 (S-Video)
VCR -> AV3 (Composite via Rear Scart)
(Sky also connected direct to VCR via composite scart.)
So Perhaps for yours...
Sky -> AV1(RGB)
DMS -> AV2 (S-Video)
Sky also connected to DMS for recording but that will probably be only
Composite.
Regards
Dean

Subject: [ukha_d] Windows Media Center & Connectivity to TV
Hi all,
Just a quick question about connecting my Sky box (Sony 760) to my MCE
(Higrade DMS) to the TV. The DMS has two Scarts (non RGB) and has s-video
input and output, Audio is not important as it is connected via coaxial.
As I believe it, s-video is better quality (although not as good as tivo's
RGB) than composite, so I should be using s-video to connect the sky box to
the DMS and the DMS to the TV. But, I have a Sony KV32FX65, the s-video
port is on the side (and untidy), at the back are three scarts (one RGB).
Can I convert s-video to scart RGB? If I can what products do I need to
buy? Any recommendations?
Or am I approaching this with the wrong method?
Cheers
Steve
