Re: OTIsh: Sky box

Hello. Sorry for the delayed reply. Ross,

Sky will actually replace the box for a nominal fee. I'm not sure how

"norm=
al life" the HD failed. Sky said I needed to buy another box for
=A3300, b=
ut someone (I forget who, so sorry if anyone on the list) told me they do
r=
efurbs - I asked, and got a "good-as-new" Sky+ box for =A360.
Delivered. =
Can't argure.

Cheers,
Paul

Subject: [ukha_d] OTIsh: Sky box

Hi all,
Our faithful Grundig sky digi box has now after 4/5 years
started playing up. It displays Satelite not signal received for quite
a number of channels and checking the strength in system status it has
dropped down to one bar.

I suspected the dish but have checked it and tried out someone elses
Panasonic box which gave an excellent signal so I'm putting the
problems down to the box..

Anyway - has anyone heard of this happening before? Does anyone have a
spare sky box kicking about? Email me off list please!

If not, what do you guys think is the best thing to do:

Sky want about =A3100 for another one. But if we were to cancel and get
Sky again in someone else in the houses name would they count this as
a new install and give us the =A310 installation + free digibox deal?

Cheers,
