We have a c-bus PIR in our on-suite and the reaction time is instantaneous.
(Well I guess 'technically' not but you know what I mean!)
As for the lights scenario, it can be done using the 5753L sensors mounted
horizontally in the wall. You may need to restrict the detection area
though. An expensive scenario though as the PIR's are not cheap and you'll
need a few dimmer channels to achieve the look you want!
There is a naked chef in London who has this scenario in his
studio/kitchens. V.nice! :-)
Many thanks,
Rob

I need to get a feeling for how quickly C-BUS will react to a PIR input.
What I would like to do is put a small PIR at the bottom and top of a set
of
stairs. When the PIR is activated I then want to turn on the lighting for
the stairs, however I'm concerned that there will be too much of a time
lag.
If I manage to get things working, I might try and be really fancy and turn
the lights on in the order of travel so that when you start climbing the
stair the light come on sequentially going up the stars (and the turn off
sequential). Obviously going down the lights would work in the opposite
direction.
