Subject: [ukha_d] Dual Layer DVD + Standalone players

I'm looking to buy a dual layer DVD writer for the main computer in the
loft.
Is the dual layer (R9) standard the same as the dual layer found in
"normal"
standalone DVD players ?

i.e. Can I take a load of home movies (or a backup of Pokemon III Movie *)
and slap them onto a dual layer disc and expect it to play in a £30
woolies/asda special DVD player ?.

* NOTE : It's not my Pokemon Movie.. it's my 5 year old nephews, who tends
to make DVD's into expensive teacup coasters by running matchbox cars over
the nice shiney surface...grumble grumble grumble....
