Wow :-)

The cost to the customer of all those MCBs, and more importantly,
the labour to wire it must be immense, on top of the already quite
costly CBus dimmers.

Would not a polaron or futronix system work out much more cost
effectively, given their dimmer racks are already pre-wired with
breakers and the like...?

Maybe a CBus sexy switches to DMX512 converter for brute force
dimmers would be a Cool Idea :-)
