You can't compile it - at least, not unless you have a copy of the XDK.
(that's why they don't distribute the binaries, just the source).

You'd be best to just pull the binaries down - either from IRC or
(sometimes) from xbins.org

I've got the IRC info somewhere.....I'll try and find it (unless someone
else does first)
