Philips do offer a repair service for the range of Prontos back to the
RU890. Those repairs are usually fixed price and include any fault but as
such are not cheap - we get quite a lot of enquiries for repairs for broken
screens but many of those people have also read on various US web pages

the screens can be had for $40 and so expect their repair costs to be about
that - unfortunately they get dissapointed pretty quickly because the fixed
repair cost on an RU890/940 is about =A3140, haven't asked about ProntoPros
yet.
