RE: Re: WiFi Woes :(

Have you tried the latest (Cisco branded) firmware?

I've been a few of the same problems recently with my WAP54G, first fix was
to change the channel it used (was on 12 I think, moved it to 3) and that
seemed to work for a week or two... then it went again...

Just as I was thinking about ditching it and going to 3Com or some other
make (not belkin!) I happened to quickly check the firmware revision and
noticed there was a significant update, so I whacked it on and everything
seems good at the minute.. time will tell I guess... but its looking good
so
far.

To get the latest update, you need to go to LinkSys Europe
(http://www.linksys.com/international/product.asp?coid=6&ipid=212)
for the
firmware, but you will need to upgrade to 1.09.1 first (you can get that
from the US site) - if you don't, Linksys say you may break the WAP.

Good luck!

Humm ..

I have a Wifi router (Buffalo) been using it close to about 4 years.

Sits next to my DECT phone, and mobile phone and bluetooth devices. I have
never had a single problem.

Perhaps this could be due to the makes you have been using? Or perhaps it
builds up some sort of resistance within the system due to the
interference?

Gezzzzz .. I am not much help am I?
