Re: FTA satellite system
CBeebies is on Astra 2d at 10773 H SR 22000 FEC 5/6.
It is in the clear...
If you don't have a motorised dish, then you'll have to pay your money and
take your choice.... Astra2d for CBeebies, or Hotbird for decent content...
... or get two of those boxes, with one pointed at each...
... or get one of these boxes for Hotbird, and a Freeview receiver ...
I have to admit, the last time I used Satellite was in late 1994... for
many
years after, I was quite happy to live entirely without broadcast telly,
and
didn't even have an aerial between June 2000 and December 2003 :-)
Oh, and my one Satellite claim to fame. I was interviewed in December 1994
by Eric Wiltsher live on CMR, so I've had an audience of about 11 million,
albeit most of them in continental Europe rather than the UK... My media
career didn't really take off after that :-) :-)
