Cheap storage and Lateral Drawers

Happy belated Easter - just back to work today ;-). Couple of things I am
looking for help with.

1) I am shortly building a large cupboard that will house a number of
'basket drawers' and standard size cupboard openings. Within the design I
was to incorporate a lateral drawer which will be about 2.0m wide 60 cm
deep
and 10 cm high. The idea is that it will pull out of the cupboard to
present a large flat surface ( think trainset ...).

Obviously I need some runners/brackets to get this to work. I've been
looking at these
http://www.castersupply.com/NAV/drawer2/
Which look that they may do the trick. Anyone done anything like this ?

2) In another room we want to create some cheap storage for tools bits and
bobs etc. The plan at the moment is buy 4 x cheap kitchen units and a 2.6
m
run of woodern worktop and build a counter style unit along one wall.
Anyone know of any flat pack storage units I should be looking at ie IKEA
that would do the same job - maybe something more workshop-like than
kitchen
like.

Jeff
