Hi Arni,

There is some talk, but admittedly not a great deal. If you search the
archives (http://www.ukha-archive.com/) for
"EIB" you'll see some recent discussions. Why is there less talk
compared to CBus and X10 ? probably because far less people have installed
EIB systems :-/

IMHO, Instabus / EIB is *very* suitable for a home environment. It's fair
to say that EIB in the home is not directly *targeted* at the DIY market,
although it *is* possible to buy the modules, software and do it yourself.
From recent postings it is of "comparable" cost to CBus
(depending on the exact system configurations), but more expensive than
X10. With both CBus and EIB though, you do get extra value for the extra
cash.

I'm in the process of getting more info on EIB / Instabus and will report
back what I find. Watch this space :-)
