Hi,

still trying to figure out if in the end I want some small tft
touchscreens (which will require some additional cabling - (when is
the rule "put twice as much and then add some" expiring...??) I
was
figuring that if I can get the vga or s-video to the monitor, the
touch screen is not going to do a lot if you don't connect the usb
driven touschscreen overlay back to the pc - so more cabling needed -
unfortunately USB limits are what ? 5 or 6 meters.
So that made me look for ways to extend that.
Anybody experience with this kind of things ? see link.

As an alternative I was looking into aquiring some 1st generation
pronto's and try to walmount them by stripping the case and somehow
re-encase them in the wall - they would then drive the lot via wired
IR with the limitation of no visual feedback (but a lot cheaper than
Xantech touch panels. Somebody tried that before ?

rgds,
Rob.
