Hi All

Below is the official info from the CEDIA office relating to the Expo
being held the first week in June. Apologies for the length of the post.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE TIME:	Education &Seminars
01/06/04 >04/06/04
Expo
02/06/04 >04/06/04

THE PLACE:	The International Convention Centre,
Birmingham, England

THE SHOW:	The essential event for anyone involved in the planning,

design, supply and installation of automated electronic
systems for the home

Covering all aspects of this fast growing industry, this exhibition
showcases the latest products for Home Cinema, Security, Home
Networking, Home Automation, Lighting and Multi-Room Audio.
"The CEDIA Expo is the platform for you to get hands on with the
latest
smart-home technologies."

Why attend?

* Encounter product innovations on the Show Floor with demonstrations
from over 100 companies
* Discover the latest products and technologies available on the market.
* Experience the most powerful concentration of residential custom
installation available in Europe offering unique opportunities for
networking.
* Educate yourself with our extensive training programme of over 70
targeted courses and product training sessions developed to suit all
levels.

The CEDIA Expo will once again reinforce our commitment to education and
high standards in the custom installation industry, with the 2004
Seminar Programme forming the cornerstone of our education drive this
year.

Certification is also a key element. A successful 2003 saw the first
CEDIA UK members sitting Certification exams for the Installer Level 1
and Designer Level 1 accreditations and it was good to see that
examinees from the UK and elsewhere in the EU performed just as well as
their US counterparts! On the matter of Certification, we are again
offering Level 1 Certification for Installers and Designers. If you have
any questions regarding education or certification please contact the
CEDIA office on +44 (0)1462 627377 or email stevemoore@xxxxxxx.

Keeping in line with the successful templates used in the US, we also
developed five career tracks for installers, designers, sales people,
project managers and business owners. This career-track approach was
extremely well received, so we've built on it for 2004. We've also taken
account of trends in the industry and requests from course appraisals
last year.

New presenters and courses have been included to reflect your candid
feedback. The main changes include:
.	An extended and revised Home Networking course
.	Basic Networking training for installers
.	A Project Management workshop
.	A Business Workshop for company owners
.	A completely new series of Lighting Design courses
.	Improved handouts and reading materials for all courses

There are a huge range of manufacturer courses on offer - these often
cover technical issues in more depth, and some include hands-on
training. Please refer to the website for a full list of these events.

Finally, please take advantage of the networking opportunities at Expo
and make sure that you join us at the CEDIA Party on Thursday 3rd.
Tickets can be purchased by completing the relevant section of the
enclosed booking form.

To ensure that you do not miss out, please go online to www.cedia.co.uk
to book your Expo ticket, seminars and/or party tickets or contact CEDIA
on +44 (0)1462 627377 for a booking form.
