Alternative for lounge / kitchen PCs?
Most of the recurring problems with domestic PCs, particularly in
kitches and lounges is WAF. Its all about noise and size.

This thing allows you to add extra screen/keyboard/moose to an
existing PC using cat5 cable. So, with a PC in node zero, you could
have extra silent, small user stations remotely.
Better than this, for MP3 player applications, the sound card is
still in the node zero machine, so wiring to the central amps is
simplified.
Has anyone tried anything like this? Much as I'ver searched, I cant
find anyone who publicly admits to using one of these things, only
retailer speil and the odd review from the last century, when they
worked with Windows 95.
provantage (USA, no affiliation other than the satisfied customer
malarky, and they ship internationally) list the thing for $184.16,
which is rather less than the $239 list price. And is rather less
than the cost of trying to make a quiet PC :-)
provantage URL, which will probably get screwed, is
