Erm...

Booting Win9x from CF is generally regarded as a fairly poor idea,
because of the way that Windows constantly makes modifications to
system files and handles virtual memory management.

CFs don't stand up well to this.

I'm afraid that this is one area where Linux really does score, but
that rules out Homeseer :-(

If the lack of hard disk is an issue, I'm sure I've got an old one I
can dig out for you.... if SILENCE is the issue, then Windows and
silence aren't snap :-(
